ContentMeant is a New York City-based marketing strategy and content marketing consultancy founded to bring effective marketing and content strategies and successful tactics to both businesses and authors.
Founder of ContentMeant, Valerie Peterson is a hands-on, collaborative and motivational strategic partner with a history of success metrics and proficiency in leveraging brand & author assets to create new opportunities.
Valerie has been a strategic and market planner at a Fortune 200 company and has held marketing, leadership and acquisitions sign-off positions at major book publishers (Random House, Doubleday, Wiley). She is an innovative creator of effective, engaging, SEO-optimized, well-reviewed, and award-recognized campaigns — digital, video, print and social media. ContentMeant clients range from major corporations, publishers, brands and institutions to agencies, start-ups and solopreneurs. Read more about ContentMeant’s capabilities, here.
The author / co-author of four traditionally published books, Valerie inaugurated and for six years ran the digital Book Publishing site for About.com (now The Balance Careers), in charge of all publishing content. She’s written for the Washington Post, the New York Times, and national magazines and has received recognition for her screenplays, teleplays and short films.
Because she is a creator herself, Valerie is also dedicated to combining her strategic and digital marketing skills with her broad, deep and hands-on book publishing knowledge to help authors understand what it takes — and increase their chances — to successfully publish and help their books find an audience.
Whatever the size of the project, a combination of strategic thinking and creative excellence informs Valerie Peterson and ContentMeant’s strategy development and campaign leadership.
Valerie graduated with honors from Fordham University in the Bronx, NY and learned film and TV writing and directing from NYU School of Professional Studies. She was born and raised in Yonkers, New York and lives in Manhattan.
